Scheduled Release : December 2011
Yet the dream is coming true. Thanks to years of arduous work and generous support from hundreds of fellow dreamers, Inuk is nearly ready for theatrical release. We are thrilled by the films 1st accomplishments: prestigious awards at the Woodstock Independent Film Festival and the Paris Polar Film Festival, raving reviews from the American press, and even the official patronage of UNESCO.
Despite the amazing news, Inuk still lacks critical funds necessary to complete the final phase before release. 35mm prints, festival and promotional support, and sound legal advice are essential for successful distribution. Unfortunately, expensive lab costs and skyrocketing promotional budgets often make this phase of the journey the “back breaker” for many independent films. To overcome this treacherous hurdle, many producers are turning to the public to become not only passionate fans, but key actors in a film’s success.
Inuk is an extraordinary collaboration between a small group of Greenlandic, French and American friends. Determined to help put the Inuit’s story onto the silver screen, we have successfully produced Inuk outside mainstream organisations where commercial stakes too often dictate story. Today Inuk has the proven potential to reach audiences across the globe. All we need are a few more dreamers... like you.
