Diaporama film Inuk
What does my support for this film really mean ?

When you make a financial contribution to Inuk, you become an official member of the Inuk team.
By helping this community of friends and partners grow, you also help convince major distributors about Inuk’s potential for international success.
As a result, you permit better visibility for the film and consequently, the Inuit culture in general.

What is the distribution goal and strategy for this film ?

C’est la Vie Films and Docside Production, the two French companies that produced Inuk, are working hand in hand with the Uummannaq, Greenland Children’s Home to achieve the widest possible theatrical, VOD, DVD and television licensing agreements for Inuk without damaging the integrity of the story and the hundreds of people who have contributed to the film’s production.

As a result of Inuk’s rapid success in US and European film festivals, several international distributors have expressed an interest in Inuk. More importantly, the film has captured the attention of an extremely reputable Los Angeles based producer who has offered his services as a production and distribution consultant. His strategy breaks down into four precise phases :

1. Continue Inuk’s successful run on the festival circuit in order to build and promote the film’s reputation within the film industry and the media.

2. Secure the widest possible North American distribution in order to prove Inuk’s market potential.

3. Secure theatrical release in several major European markets.

4. Contract a film sales agent for the remaining international territories.

Why 150 000 $ ?

This is the estimated sum necessary to successfuly prepare the film for theatrical release.

This sum includes :
- A final remix
- Transfer to 35mm film stock for prints
- Festival fees and promotional costs (posters, flyers, mailings, etc.)
- Travel costs (for the director and Inuit actors)
- Costs associated with securing distribution (private screenings, DVD screeners, phone, and travel)

* This sum represents the last remaing expenses on an overall film budget established by C’est la Vie Films, Docside Production, and The Uummanaq Children’s Home before initiating principal photography.

How much can I contribute ?

Each indvidual can contribute according to their means and discretion. They will then recieve a predetermined « perk » in function of the amount of their contribution.
But remember, every dollar counts so even the smallest contribution helps.

All monetary contributions to the Inuk production using this or any other «crowdfunding» site are strictly considered as donations.

How do I contribute ?

There are two simple ways to make a contribution :
- By credit or debit card (Visa, Carte Bleue, Eurocard, Mastercard)
- Paypal

When does the funding drive end ?

September 31, 2011. Our goal is to release the film in the winter of 2011-2012. In order to succeed, we must secure the necessary funds as quickly as possible.

What happens if you don’t reach the 150.000$ ?

Every cent of the funds will be used for the aforementioned costs of the film. However if we have not reached the needed sum, th chances of releasing Inuk theatrically will be greatly reduced and we will therefore be forced to seek video based licensing deals (VOD, DVD, Television).
